With the all-embracing theme of 'Start Strong, Finish Strong' the event helped to enhance relations with channel partners along with Vertiv sales, channel, and service teams.
India [January 12, 2017] – Vertiv, formerly Emerson Network Power, announced the successful conclusion of its annual 'Annual India Sales, Service and Channel Conference FY 2017' in Goa. The conference was organized from December 16-19, 2016 with the theme "Start Strong, Finish Strong," and saw an attendance from over 360 participants, consisting of business partners and members from the Vertiv sales, service and channel teams across India.
The conference witnessed the grand launch of the new Vertiv brand at the hands of the Asia Pacific President, Stephen Liang. It saw attendance from top executives at Vertiv which included Stephen Liang, president – Asia Pacific; Terry Purcell, chief financial officer – Asia Pacific; Sunil Khanna, president and managing director – India; along with other senior management. This year's theme "Start Strong, Finish Strong," highlighted Vertiv's ability to scale new heights- by streamlining and simplifying processes, structure, and strengthening its position as an industry-leading infrastructure provider.
Stephen outlined the company's commitment to India and said, "India stands tall with the highest expected GDP growth rate for 2017 out of the eight countries that are expected to grow beyond the world average of 5 percent growth. With a growing impetus to digitization and a proliferation of broadband connectivity, India today is the cynosure of every investor and thus an important market for Vertiv. As a privately-held, standalone company, we have more flexibility to make business decisions and move quickly like a start-up."
Concluding the conference, Mr. Sunil Khanna, president and managing director for Vertiv in India presented his parting thoughts for 2017 saying, "Our focus for 2017 will be to march head-on while continuing to build upon our heritage and legacy as erstwhile Emerson Network Power, empowering vital applications for a digital world. We will work with our partners to showcase innovative solutions to address customer's needs around cloud computing, mobile networking and industrial applications. Employees and business partners were felicitated for their exceptional performance through the year across several categories measuring sales performance, managerial competencies, and team-building capabilities. All attendees were also treated to a day filled with water sports and a gala dinner. These activities gave the participants an opportunity to let their hair down and interact with fellow employees, allowing for team bonding.
With a healthy and holistic exchange of ideas and thoughts between employees as well as channel partners, the Annual India sales, service and channel conference was announced as a grand success.

About the conference
The conference was designed to make for an engaging and memorable experience for all participants comprising of employees of Vertiv and its channel partners across SAARC (India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Maldives).
Participants were divided into two groups: one for the sales and service conference participants conducted between 16-18th December 2016 and the second for the channel conference participants conducted on December 17-19th, 2016. The conference had a healthy mix of team activities comprising adventure sports for both groups along with water sports and gala dinner. The second day of the conference for each of the groups consisted of half-day sessions by Vertiv senior management executives including: Stephen Liang, Sunil Khanna, Dr. A.S Prasad and R. Vasudevan. These sessions were also interspersed with pep talks by distinguished motivational speakers: Vijay Batra and Dr. Pawan G. Agrawal, who offered valuable and important tips on how to start strong and finish strong.
The second day of the event also saw both groups- sales and service participants as well as channel participants come together for a gala awards and dinner night. The awards night was designed to recognize the best results achieved by teams and employees from Vertiv in India as well as to felicitate partners, both national and international, who have played an important role in promoting Vertiv's innovative portfolio of products.
With the event being a combination of work and fun, the conference was a wonderful opportunity to mix and bond with fellow employees, which is imperative for any organization. More importantly, the conference paved the way towards the common goal of the growth of Vertiv in the India region.
