100 Vertiv™ Liebert® GXT5 uninterruptible power supply systems have been installed to support on-site testing
Moscow, Russia [July 5, 2021] - Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, together with Russian partner Wizard (among the top 25 System Integrators in 2021 according to CRN/RE), have delivered 100 Vertiv™ Liebert® GXT5 uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) to Moscow clinics. The equipment is to ensure the stable power supply of immuno-chemiluminescence analysers for determining the presence of coronavirus antibodies.
COVID-19 has raised the demand for new digital solutions to expedite diagnoses – including special virus and antibody detectors. To deliver quick and accurate test results, the IT staff at the Moscow clinics recognised the need for UPS support to protect the analysers from potentially damaging power surges and spikes.
With the number of patients in need of antibody testing steadily increasing, the clinics also required the UPS systems and connectors to be installed in just two weeks. After assessing all options, Wizard chose the 5-6 kVA Liebert GXT5 UPS series. Wizard and the clinics’ IT staff were impressed with its dual conversion mode – protecting critical equipment from an extensive range of power-related malfunctions while also providing backup power in the event of a complete power outage.
